Week 4: Section and Perspectives

Description 

The two words for the model was futuristic and circular which was taken into consideration for the exterior and interior spaces.

Client 1 which is the upper level conveys the futuristic side by implementing reflective metal to give the illusion of light and the transparency of the ragged dome gives off a unique look that would not be used in the present. For the interior the dome which provides access to the three workshops allows each level to be interconnected as the future is all about connection. 

For the circular component for Client 2 a circular movement is created from the Ground Floor to the workshop below which aims to create fluidity in space whilst contributing to the curved exterior. The stairs curve to lead the eye to the main area in the level.

Week 2: Staircase Concept Model

Concept

The concept of this stair is to portray the futuristic element of @the_kyza. The stair aims to provide a sleek look through the curved path of the steps and handrail which follows the curvature of the building and the strong vectors of the railing leading the eye to the next floor creates fluidity. Moreover, the bronze colour and the combination of the glass features introduces transparency and simplicity to convey a futuristic atmosphere.

Material Selection 

With the current model the materials that will be used for the dome will be glass and metal sheeting due to its malleability to create the skin of the circular structures. For the floors, concrete will be used and will have laminated or vinyl flooring.
